Model Fluent Reading
Modeling fluent reading is crucial. If the students are not seeing what is considered fluent reading, then they won't do it. Model what it looks like when you read, how you should read, what to do when you come to a word you don't know. This make reading flow easier and the students becomemore fluent in reading correctly.
Word Wall
Having a word wall in the classroom is important. It makes it so that students become more independent when writing. With the visible word wall, students can go up to the word wall and look for the word that they are trying to spell, take it back to their seat, spell it, and put it back in the correct place. This helps building fluency with sight words.
