Alliteration
For this activity, the students or the teacher can do the writing. Share some tongue twisters and create your own. Ask the students what sounds they hear at the begining of the words. The tonguq twisters will help the student with articulation.
Flip Books
Constuct a flip book using sentence strips, and neatly print a word on the strip and the cut the word off the sentence strip. Using the rest of the strip, write letters on them and cut them out individually. Then staple the letters on top of the first letter of the word you cut out, making a flip book for a specific word family. For example, if the word was hat that you cut out. You word write the letters b, c, f, m, p, r, s, v and cut them out and staple them on top of the h.
